For plastic flutes, the choice between homopolymer and random copolymer depends on whether the part will see repeated bending, UV exposure, or freeze-thaw. For pipe, ISO 9080 is the standard used to project long-term strength, so don't substitute a homopolymer just because it's stiff. In my experience, the cost difference is small. 5. Will polyurethane stick to plastic?

Short answer: sometimes, but 'plastic' is too broad for that question to be useful. Polyurethane adhesives bond well to high-surface-energy plastics like polycarbonate, ABS, and some nylons. They struggle with low-surface-energy plastics like HDPE and polypropylene—the same materials we've been talking about. Without surface treatment, the adhesive will wet the surface, but it won't form a strong chemical bond.
